King Solomon wrote in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Solomon would know because he benefitted from a godly father in King David. This young child is starting off on the right foot.

OK Dave- I finally had some time to wait for it to load for me! That was so sweet. Although I haven’t been able to get my son to recite any verses – he does at least have a few favorite stories from the Bible- The Good Samaritan and when Jesus heals the blind man! This though, is why I am homeschooling! I might have a hard time about it, and things get tough for us financially- but at least we can try and train him up in the way of the Lord- and not in the way of the NEA! God Bless you Dave- and all our precious young ones! Carolyn
Carolyn – I’m glad to hear you are homeschooling and teaching your son Bible stories. That is so important and God will bless your efforts! I wrote a section in my chapter on education in my book Understanding Evangelicals: A Guide to Jesusland. I’m not sure if you have my book but if not, email me your address and I’ll send you copy as a gift as my way of showing support for our homeschoolers. Also if you’re not already familiar with it, check out the Home School Foundation website at http://www.homeschoolfoundation.org/
