Okay, I want to share a video with you that is, as my pastor likes to say, “chock-a-block” with information. This YouTube video crams as much information as possible into the allowed ten minutes for each posted video and a lot of information comes and goes on the screen. Just pause the video and read and take note of the information. Please pass this along to as many people as you can.

I liked it, other than for its McCain propaganda use. McCain voted along with conservatives for this proposal to fix the system, but the video ignores the fact that he now supports the bailouts.
Below is a superb statement from a candidate who’s never flip-flopped on the 2nd Amendment, etc.. I can’t see McCain being any better than Obama, even on religious freedom, and concerning foreign policy, Obama has changed his stance recently to somewhat favor the Iraq War. So that’s not really the determining factor for me . . .
http://baldwin08.com/Issue-Doctrine.cfm
The Baldwin/Castle Doctrine
No foreign government or world government body or entity, not even an ally or neighbor of the US is allowed to own any portion of US roads, airports, homes, buildings, lands, waters, resources (oil, gas, precious metals, minerals, etc,), religious facilities (no matter what faith), stocks, bonds, US treasury notes, businesses, banks, military bases or military assets or manufacturing facilities in the US regardless of how much the foreign governments donate to the political campaigns or private fortunes of US officials, elected or bureaucratic, or even to the US treasury.
Christopher,
I’m interested in Mr. Baldwin has any idea of how he will enforce his doctrine? How is he going to remove the trillions of foreign dollars donated in our country? What is his plan; will he buy out every foreign dollar invested into America? Is he also ready for the reciprocity of our dollars being kicked out of other foreign businesses? Does he have any idea what would happen to the US economy if he actually tried to do this? Does he understand that we work in a global economy? He calls that a plan; what plan? That’s no plan, it’s mere political posturing.
It makes for nice little soundbites and campaign slogans but the fact he posted this on his website means he is serious about this doctrine which just proves how utterly unqualified for President he is.
You’ve got a point. It may be too unrealistic at the present time. I hadn’t considered that. I may send the campaign an email about this.
Thanks for pointing that out, Dave.
Hi,
I am a regular reader of Dave’s web-site and the video “Burning Down the House” is no longer available. What was the general message from this video?
Thanks,
Lisa

Very disturbing.
We Want Our Government Back
Right now the government is in the hands of people who truly have NO interest in what WE THE PEOPLE want. You say and do anything to get a vote – both sides. Decisions are not made on sound judgment. They are made based on how you feel your constituency will respond. We are at the mercy of the government. They should be at the mercy of us. We have slowly but surely, over the course of time, given up power to people who are “career politiciansâ€, not statesmen. They are not our representatives. They are people who have a paid job in Washington, or even locally for that matter. You get paid to pander to a select group of people who keep you in your job. That is demonstrated every day during an election cycle by changing positions as often as the wind blows. It’s all a game and we are the pawns in your game. Is there a financial crisis, kind of… but is it as bad as the politicians are making it sound to promote their own agenda. Is there an energy crisis, kind of… but is it as bad as the politicians are making it sound to promote their own agenda. Is the threat from terrorists real – yes. Is a war necessary to protect our homeland – yes. We could fix the financial mess if politics would step aside and let WE THE PEOPLE, American ingenuity, be a part of the solution vetting process. The same with energy, healthcare, social security, and every other “hot topicâ€. We could fix the problem ourselves – and get what WE really want – if politicians would step aside and let us come in and clean up their mess. There are many shrewd business people who could teach the government a thing or two about managing money. There are many scientists who can help us find short and long term energy solutions. Sarah Palin – I LOVE the idea you had of forming a commission of REAL people, not politicians, to study the issue of Global Warming and provide you with recommendations. You are not expected to be a subject matter expert on all matters. We want a leader who can make good decisions, based on sound advice from REAL people on both sides of the issue. You are the closest thing I have seen to a REAL person who wants to take on Washington. Don’t get caught up in the media frenzy and pandering – Tell us how you plan to organize REAL people to find REAL solutions and get government out of the way so the American people can shine. It is our people that are great – not our government.
It is our fault we are in this mess because we have let you take over our lives for so long. We have not been involved, we have not spoken out and Washington has run amuck. How can you, who are the problem, fix the problem? You can’t. The vocal minority lead the rest of us to believe that government is the solution. How can government be the solution, when they are the problem?
You have about 30 days left and two more debates. We all know where you stand on issues. Hopefully that won’t change between now and Election Day. I, and many likeminded individuals, am going to vote for the person who can demonstrate in the next month how they plan to get people involved in their government once again. We don’t want to hear about debates on Capitol Hill – we want to be a part of them. We don’t want a “representative†voice – we want a real voice! I would urge each candidate to run one ad, and one ad only between now and Election Day. How are you going to enable US to solve the problems? I would urge the debates to be centered on how you plan to organize, energize and involve WE THE PEOPLE to fix the mess we have allowed you to create. What if the Vice President was charged with organizing local Congressman and Leaders to set up Town Hall meetings all over the country to gather the voice of the people? Simultaneously she was setting up NON PARTISAN experts on various committees to come up with solutions, based on what we the people report we want. You combine our will with their expertise and I am sure we will come up with the strongest solutions in the history of the world. Stop wasting our time with propaganda. We know how you stand on issues – if not, refer us to your website and post your plans there.
Tell us how you are going to give us back control of a government run completely out of control. I don’t care what any polls are saying right now or what any one is advising you. The number one poll number that has not changed for the last two years is the approval rating of Congress. It is at the lowest point ever in history. The Presidential approval rating is at an all time low. These numbers do not change. They don’t fluctuate based on biased media reports. They are real – WE ARE NOT HAPPY with a Democratic run Congress or a Republican President. Our dislike for government is not partisan. You all got us where we are at – with our permission no less, and oddly enough, many people believe that you can bail us out. That is pure non sense.
WE THE PEOPLE are the solution. We are bright, energetic and optimistic about the future. Sadly enough, too many people believe what the media promotes. Media has always been a propaganda machine. It always will be. Use it to your advantage to get the message out as to how you will empower WE THE PEOPLE to help you fix the problem. We want to be an active part of the solution and never again give you a blank check to take advantage of us and use us as pawns in your game. We want to be more powerful than special interest. We want to actively be part of developing a plan to move our future forward. For once, let the government enable the people instead of the people enabling the government!
