I just finished Clarence Thomas’ memoir, “My Grandfather’s Son.” Every American needs to read this book. In fact, if we as a nation want to learn what it means to actually live the American Dream, then every American should read this book.
I will cherish this book because it has an inscription from the Justice himself; this book is a precious gift to me from his wife Virginia and him, and he addresses Eddie in it. I won’t go into detail because it is personal between my family and the Thomases.
I encourage all of you to read the book because America does not yet know Clarence Thomas, and that is a shame. I’ve included a video from a talk he gave at the Heritage Foundation last November. Enjoy!
Hi Dave- I haven’t read the book yet, but I heard him on a couple of radio programs talking about his life and it is amazing. When I hear people trashing him, it makes me sad because he truly is a great American and moral and decent man. God bless~ Carolyn
I’d never listened to Clarence Thomas before. He impressed me with his contentment and dignity! 🙂
