Who would have thought on February 1, 2008 the GOP would have all three strong conservative candidates out of the race for over two weeks, and remaining are John McCain/Feingold/Kennedy/Lieberman, Mitt Romney who transformed into a conservative right before our eyes in the last year (although his record is suspect at best), a populist in Mike Huckabee, and Ron Paul…well, you know.
Yesterday I was writing about the chaos in the conservative movement and today we have moved into the absolute absurd. Watch this video:
I never thought I would enjoy watching Alan Colmes, but he was hilarious! The world can come to an end because I see Ann Coulter and Alan Colmes practically arm and arm.
We have a bunch of broken pieces in our movement and it’s going to take a lot of work to patch it all back together again.
Dave, I heaard about is on Hannity today. What is disturbing is that mostof the talk show folks seem to be going for Romney now- What Ann said, well, she’s been kind’a off the deep end lately over her endorsement of Romney (in my opinion at least). You know how I am feeling about what’s happening in this country right now- and all I can say concerning the way we will go is 2 Chronicles 7:14. God Bless you Dave! Carolyn
I don’t think Ann will vote for Hillary and I don’t think she will campaign for her that is for sure. I think by doing the rant she did, that she did a great job of bringing out the fact that McCain is a liberal. Anyone who would be Kerry’s running mate is a liberal and is as bad as Hillary in my book.
Wow, it is hard to believe that we are where we are now. Romney isn’t my first choice. Fred and Duncan were my two top choices. But I really think Romney would be a better leader than McCain and we have to vote and it will be between Romney and McCain. I will not support Huckabee. With Huckabee it is really difficult for me to watch another believer stand up and lie and be vindictive toward the other candidates not to mention the fact that he hasn’t really challenged McCain wich leads me to believe there must be something going on there. That is subjective though.
I have a feeling, however that McCain will win and Hillary will take the big man’s seat in the end. Our country will go through a huge socialist change because Hillary will get 8 years and that is about how long it will take for the conservative movement to get underway and for us to get back to basics again. Hopefully the dems won’t take congress and the fairness doctrine won’t be passed. I would still like to have the choice to listen to my favorite conservative talk show hosts, and I am sure Dobson would like to keep his show on the air.
Maybe this will usher in a new Reagan revolution as they all say could happen. We will see!
Regardless, God is truly in control so while we are all dissapointed in how this is turning out, but it can’t steal our joy and our peace that is for sure!
