My apologies to Steve Deace for missing his outstanding column on WorldNetDaily over the weekend. Steve’s excellent article titled “Lutherans: Time to drop out” is a must read.
These are my two favorite lines from the article:
-
“Denominations don’t approve of that which God says is evil until they stop approving of that which God says altogether.â€
-
“They think they’re being humble by ‘reaching people where they’re at,’ when in reality they’re drowning in pride because they think there’s some approach or process to transforming a community that they have discovered which God forgot to include in the Scriptures.â€
Simply brilliant my brother!
I also had something posted at the American Thinker Blog titled “The Waxman Inquisition”
Leave a comment at the American Thinker and send Steve an email thanking him for his boldness.

Numerous denominations split in our country over whether to accept or oppose slavery in the early 1800s, but it seems that the word “coexist” is the byword today, like those bumper stickers that have the symbols of all major religions with the word “coexist”, saying differences don’t matter all that much. When Steve Deace says “Since they have exchanged the truth for a lie, God may have given them over to their own depraved minds”, it is keen that he italicized “the” truth and “a” lie. There are abundance of lies, and solid commitment to absolute truth has indeed become a rarity in Christian denominations.
