Many people are looking at the date December 21, 2012 for a time where great change will come. This is based of the ancient Mayan calendar ending on that date. There is actually a website titled “Survive 2012”.
We have looked at absolute truth—the aletheia truth—and we see that Jesus has taught us we can know it and that we can be set free by it. It was His mission…it is the Christmas Story!
How many of you know what the Hyde Amendment is? Oh, you’ve heard of it, but do you know what it is? It is named after the late Republican Congressman Henry Hyde of Illinois. In a nutshell, by manipulative law, it says not only can you kill your unborn baby if you were raped or conceived in incest, or a doctor certifies your life may be in danger, but also WE the People of the United States through our elected officials and tax dollars will pay for that abortion.
I was having lunch with brother in Christ on Monday, and I’ve shared this with my Sunday school class before, but if I had to guess if God would save America I would guess no. Can He do it? Of course He can! He is omnipotent.
Absolutely! Absolute truth is real! How can you be sure Bro Dave?

In case you were never taught this in government schools, today is the 237th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. A Massachusetts colonist resistance group known as the Sons of Liberty, lead by Samuel Adams, disguised themselves as Mohawk Indians and dumped 342 chests of British tea into the harbor. Life sure can throw us the proverbial curve ball. Death, divorce, and diversions to our life plans test our will to carry on in this great adventure. How do we continue in life when life itself is crashing down around us?
Sixty-nine years ago today the Japanese launched, what was believed to be impossible, a surprise attack on the US Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The death and destruction in just two wave attacks was devastating: 4 battleships sunk and 4 battleships damaged including 1 run aground; 2 destroyers sunk and 1 damaged; 3 cruisers damaged; 1 other ship sunk and three others damaged; 188 aircraft destroyed and 155 damaged; 2,402 military killed and 1,247 wounded; 57 civilians killed and 35 wounded.
Is that you? Are you a part-time praiser. Is praise merely singing songs? If I could change church I would change the music portion of service from “praise and worship time” to…well…the music portion of our praise and worship service. Praise and worship time in almost every church in America must include and in most cases, is exclusively music. That’s sad.
