Burning Down The House: What Caused Our Economic Crisis?

Okay, I want to share a video with you that is, as my pastor likes to say, “chock-a-block” with information. This YouTube video crams as much information as possible into the allowed ten minutes for each posted video and a lot of information comes and goes on the screen. Just pause the video and read and take note of the information. Please pass this along to as many people as you can.

Obnoxious Obama

You all might remember the moment during the debates when John McCain told the story of the mother giving him her dead son’s bracelet and how Senator McCain eloquently and from a fond memory recited the story and the soldier’s name. And you may also remember Senator Obama’s fumbling and quite staged point of saying, “I have a soldier’s bracelet too.” It was fumbling because he didn’t have a teleprompter and actually had to look at the bracelet to figure out whose it was and it was staged because he no longer had permission to wear the bracelet that had been given to him by the mother. Quite the contrary, Senator Obama was told by the family of Sergeant Ryan David Jopek of Merrill, Wisconsin to not wear the bracelet any longer.

Now of course ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, and the Today Show are not going to cover this and this is why we have outlets such as NewsBusters to expose the lies and deceit that is Barack Obama. Make sure everyone who is voting for or considering voting for Barack Obama knows this. As a retired Army First Sergeant and a parent who lost his son in Iraq, my level of contempt and disgust of Barack Obama for the exploitation of a dead soldier and refusal to adhere to the wishes of a Gold Star Family defies words and knows no boundaries.

America’s Real Anxiety

Folks, Frank Salvato has just posted my latest column titled “America’s Real Anxiety” which is my analysis of the President’s speech Wednesday night. Here’s an excerpt:

The President finished his address with this final attempt to reassure the American people: “…history has shown that in times of real trial, elected officials rise to the occasion.”

Pencil Sharpened

Okay, so vacation is over and I’m ready to spend the next 39 days doing the political equivalent of battle royale. As my friend JB Williams describes them, the left-wing lamestream press is constitutionally negligent of their civic duty to investigate and hold accountable those who seek our highest office. That’s okay because we have the new media, led by the New Media Journal, and great writers such as JB. Please read his latest piece titled “Guilt by Association?” at the NMJ. While you’re there read his last piece titled “A Congressional Rich White Guy Caucus?” For those of you locally here in the Florida Panhandle who enjoy JB’s work you missed one great speech from him last Saturday night at Eddie’s banquet.

Speaking of great writers of NMJ and someone who spoke at the banquet, Florida Panhandle’s very own Lance Fairchok has a blistering piece on NMJ titled “The Media & Race: Getting It Wrong” and Lance exposes the overused and misused term “racism.” Here’s an excerpt:

Dave and Karen’s Excellent Vacation Day Five

Sorry it’s been a few days since I last posted. We had a busy weekend with the First Annual Hope Rides Alone Family Reunion on Saturday, which was a smashing success! We raised $500 with 50 people in attendance and the generosity of those locally and around the country. May God bless you for your kindness. Pictures and video from the banquet are forthcoming so stay tuned!

Okay, we made it to Baltimore with the threat of rain that actually turned into a reality about two hours before game time. So when we got to Orioles Park at Camden Yards we had a strong feeling, from looking at the radar, that the game would get postponed. So we waited around for an hour and a half until it was officially postponed. We could have got tickets to Saturday’s doubleheader, however we were heading towards Atlanta making our way back home. Anyway, we still had fun and here are some of the pictures.

Dave and Karen’s Excellent Vacation Day Three

I think I have confused some of my readers into believing that we are in Washington D.C. this week. We are home and I am recounting our vacation from last week. My apologies if I somehow added to that confusion.

Well Thursday last week was an amazing day. Because of my good friend Mark Levin’s efforts, Karen and I received two tickets to be a part of the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial event. What an extreme honor it was for us to attend this solemn yet celebratory day; we will long remember it.

Dave and Karen’s Excellent Vacation Day Two

On Wednesday last week, Karen and I had probably our most exciting day of the week. It started off meeting Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas in his private chambers. His staff is so friendly and I think we adopted his secretary LaShawn to come visit us at the Jeffers’ Inn. After nearly two hours of sitting with the Justice and talking about so many life issues, he graciously called LaShawn in so we could have a picture with him.

Us and Clarence

Dave and Karen’s Excellent Vacation Day One

Wow! What a week we had in our nation’s capital. We got to the Westin Inn in Alexandria late Monday and I was seriously craving a steak. We had dinner at Joe Theismann’s restaurant and I highly recommend the filet mignon with crab cake.

On Tuesday, our first full day in D.C., we visited the Supreme Court and were given a private tour by the curator’s office, thanks to Ginni Thomas setting that up through her husband Justice Thomas’ office.

Obama Should Fire the Daily Kos

Now I gave credit for Senator Obama’s forceful and forthright denunciation of the rumors being spread about Sarah Palin and her family. KUDOS!

But Bill O’Reilly made an excellent point (hey, even a broke clock is right twice a day!).

The Lunatic Left

I want to see if Barack Obama actually has the character he says he has. I want to see Barack Obama come out today and denounce the filthy, disgusting innuendos and lies about Sarah Palin and her 16 year old daughter.

What say you Barack Obama? Are you the “man” you would have America believe you are, or will your cowardice and lust for power not allow you to rebuke your base?
