There is no better way to begin a week then spending Sunday with the Lord, hearing His Word preached, and singing praises to His Holy Name. And sometimes, the best worship is done by children in ways that make you laugh for joy. This video is just one of those times. Thanks to Debbie Hinkhofer for the heads up.

LISTEN UP!! Class is in session!
How bad is the housing market? Can you describe it in real economic terms? Can you quantify the “housing crunch” in historical terms? Is it worse as the President claims? Is it being overblown as many economists claim? Is it simply an “opportunity not being wasted” as White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel opined? What is the actual nature of the housing market as it stands today the last day in February in the year of our Lord two thousand nine?
(Hat tip to both Dick Mahlum and Joe Richardson for sending this to me)
THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY WELL PUT AND I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT’S BY A YOUNG PERSON, A STUDENT!!! WHATEVER HE RUNS FOR, I’LL VOTE FOR HIM. (These words are from the original email, not Dave)

Class is in session, time to get your thinking caps on. Here is a very simple lesson in economics:
Shortly after class, an economics student approaches his economics professor and says, “I don’t understand this stimulus bill. Can you explain it to me?”
Although I did not watch the President’s speech last night, I was online with a few bloggers watching their running commentary to the speech. I have read excerpts of the speech and I will read it in its entirety later today, but as is the case with most presidential speeches before a joint session of Congress, this president made promises he cannot keep without bankrupting our future:
1. Increase troop levels
2. Cure cancer in “our time”
3. Universal education through college
4. Universal health care
I have received emails from many of you wondering if I and others were not being too hard on the pro-family/pro-life movements. That is a fair question so let me approach it from a fund-raising perspective.
Let’s say I come to all of you with a proposal for a new organization that is “dedicated to the promotion of marriage and family and the sanctity of human life in national policy.” My organization will be at the forefront “valiantly fighting the culture war”, but it will suffer “terrible defeats.” My organization will not be “able to arrest and reverse the moral and cultural slide by protests, lobbying, voting and legislative remedies.”

My fellow Americans, I think it is safe to say that most of you are not completely well-versed in our form of government. If you are under forty years old and went to a public school therein lies most of your problem.
I’ve once again taken the liberty of publishing Alan Keyes’ latest blog post in its entirety because of its importance. Please do visit his blog site Loyal to Liberty and read all his past postings.
Whenever I have a conversation, aka debate, with a liberal one of the quickest ways to earn his or her ire is to tell said liberal that Democrats not only do not trust Americans to spend our own hard-earned cash, but they also believe the government, Big Government, knows best how to spend your cash.
I hear guffaws and harrumphs from the likes of Alan Colmes, Bob Bechtel, and Susan Estrich that “the old-tired, warn out liberals are trying to steal your money” argument just doesn’t hold water. We are told that the Democrats are the party of the people.
I was asked by a caller this morning to publish today’s daily devotional on my blog so here it is:
A New Beginning
Today we inaugurate Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States of America. This makes the 44th time in our great history that power is willingly handed over from one man to another. Many people are praying for Barack Obama to be successful; I am not doing so in an unattached manner. I do not approve of his agenda but God has seen fit to allow this man to lead our nation. Others are praying that President Obama fails; I will not do that either because his fall will be cushioned by our country. So I will pray that he surrenders his life to Jesus Christ and/or he is influenced by godly men and women such as Daniel of the Old Testament influenced pagan kings.
Yesterday was a significant day for the Jeffers’ Family and many of you played a large part in it. Ground was finally broke for the new Fisher House of the Emerald Coast on Eglin Air Force Base here in NW Florida. The wonderful and giving community here has already donated tens of thousands of dollars to support this wonderful charity. Nearly eight thousand dollars has been given in memory of Sergeant Eddie Jeffers. We are so grateful to all of you and know that our Fisher House here in the Florida Panhandle will be a home away from home for our precious military families.
Here is the groundbreaking site:
To piggyback on my last post, it seems that if someone steals during economic hard times it is the result of “survival panic.” Leave it to a psychiatrist to come up with this doozie.
“Your honor, my client, while he indeed did take items from Krogers it was not because he is a thief, it is because he had a panic attack,” presents the attorney, psychiatrist nodding in the afirmative.
