Okay we’re picking up where we left off Saturday night where Tom Minnery asks Steve a question:

“If you have a politician here who will be pro-life except in the case of rape and incest abortions, in other words he is 99% pro-life, and you have another politician who is 100% in favor of all abortions, what would you do?”
Beloved, we have been fed that line for the last 30 years as Steve will talk about, but I want us all to answer Mr. Minnery’s question. No, first, let me ask you a question…is there such a thing as being 99% pro-life? Is that like being 99% pregnant? Can you be 99% saved? Am I 99% married? Is God’s Word 99% inerrant and infallible?
Okay, now you can answer Mr. Minnery’s question. Do you see the absurdity in this thought pattern? I fell for it and I’m sure many of you have fallen for it. Is God okay with saving only 99% of the babies? Does God’s standard allow us to decide that we will allow abortions in cases of rape and incest?
If so Steve Deace is not doing this interview and his wife and he don’t have three children. We can no longer accept this!

As Steve says, this might be a political standard and it might even be a very good political standard, but it is not a biblical standard.
Give this portion a listen and let it sink in real deep. Let this conversation between Steve and Mr. Minnery give us all cause to take a step back and reassess what is important in America.
We’re not as bad as they are will not save our country, and it most certainly won’t play well in front of the Judgment Seat of Christ. Only God can save our country.
