LISTEN UP!! Class is in session!
How bad is the housing market? Can you describe it in real economic terms? Can you quantify the “housing crunch” in historical terms? Is it worse as the President claims? Is it being overblown as many economists claim? Is it simply an “opportunity not being wasted” as White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel opined? What is the actual nature of the housing market as it stands today the last day in February in the year of our Lord two thousand nine?

What do you think are the chances of the mainstream media showing this type of information? This is why I have called for a complete boycott of all network television news media and the liberal activist newspapers and magazines who have and still are purposely hiding the charade that is Barack Obama.

Dave, you know a little of our situation, and we are definitely feeling the “crunch”. We are so blessed though. I don’t want to come off sounding better than anyone else, because I know there are millions of people out there who are way smarter, more educated and better than me. However, I do, thank the Lord have some common sense! It is pitiful the way the world has become a place where hard work and common sense has been replaced by “I deserve, my right to, I want now, give me mine …” kind of society. Michael and I have worked hard all our lives. I started working in Canada at 15, and full time after highschool. Michael followed in his Daddy’s shoes working construction. I quit work when we married, and have stayed home to raise Andrew, even though it has been a sacrifice. When times were good during the boom, did we upgrade and buy a brand new house- much like the ones my husband helped build? No. We live in a small old house that his Daddy built- and we love it. Mice, no air conditioning/heat, leaky plumbing and cracks and all. Did we go out and buy all the toys we saw everyone else buy on credit? Nope. Don’t even have a credit card and never did.
No. I put all the extra money into paying off our vehicle, and putting the rest away for a rainy day emergency.
We have faced many rainy days Dave- in the form of 3 Hurricanes, a wild fire and a crash that totalled my jeep (which was paid off by then). We had the money to build a new roof which was badly needed to protect us the hurricane season. We were able to buy a new storage barn to put all our lawn and garden equipment in. We paid a hefty down payment on a smaller used car because it was within our means- Yes, I would have liked a new jeep to replace my old one- but I am satisfied knowing we didn’t over extend ourselves. We repainted the new shed after it got burned in the fire, and we bought a good used mower to replace the one that got burned up. We lost some things we couldn’t replace, but we make do! We had the money Dave- not because we got hand outs. Not because of anyone giving us what we didn’t earn ourselves.
Michael has worked maybe 10 hours since Christmas- he is one of those obama uses, to talk about his socialist agenda. We still have a little savings left- because we saved during the good years- like Joseph, Dave, we stored for the famine. Now, things are getting pretty tight, and I am NOT afraid. Not because obama and his jokers will save us, but because I know God will be in control no matter what, and He knows our needs. We have no healthcare- but I don’t want it from the government nanny. I don’t want hand outs. I don’t want obama giving us anything. We have God- we have friends who care when we need help.
I’m sorry Dave to pour all this out like this, but I am angry. I am angry that people have no sense of personal responsibility anymore, and that the nannies in Washington will reward their lazy, irresponsible behavior! I am angry that hard working people who are blessed to have much will be required to pay for others. I don’t want anything that I didn’t earn. I will never see Social security even though I paid into it in two countries. I will not see what little bit of stock that I have left, but I don’t care about that. I do care about retired people like my parents who were hard working and wise with their money, but had stock plans which are now decimated. I worry about how they will get by. I worry about the world, if Jesus hasn’t come by then, which my son will be living in. It makes me sad that I can’t see my parents and they can’t afford to see their only grandson because so many people were irresponsible and felt deserving eventhough they would know, with a little common sense, that they couldn’t afford to be wasteful. That my dad worked his whole life at one company- from sweeping the floors to the vice president. He worked for his money. He didn;t get rich off of others. He worked hard and so many others like him who are or were well off will suffer because of others.
I’m sorry Dave. I watched it- it took a while to load, but I saw it, and it gave me chills to think about it. God Bless you Dave, and thank you for letting me vent.
