Plain Speaking
Merle Miller wrote a biography about Harry Truman titled “Plain Speaking” and in it Harry’s direct and politically incorrect statements are highlighted.
Imagine today an elected official speaking plainly about the threat of Islam, with historical accuracy? Imagine an elected official looking at the media and telling them to stop being politically correct and telling them that they are cowards and complicit in the demise of our country?
Would you vote for someone like that? Would you financially support that candidate even if you could not vote for him or her? What if this candidate also was a former military leader who had seen combat?
Just such a person exists and his name is Lieutenant Colonel Allen West and he is running for the House of Representatives in Florida’s 22nd Congressional District.
