Atta boy Joe! You haven’t officially been the Democrat’s VP nominee for a week and you’re already gnawing on your leg you’ve stuck your foot so far in your mouth.
Check out this little nugget from Joltin’ Joe:
Joe Biden: Sarah Palin is “good lookingâ€
Biden’s hasn’t even began debating Governor Palin and he’s already stepping on his tongue. Hey, if nothing else, he’s fun to watch!!
It’s pretty hard to find a politician with integrity today, indeed. And about that, I do wish to express my impression of McCain’s VP pick. McCain’s campaign is opportunistic; what else would we call it when, after violating the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold early this year–which nonetheless is still in effect, despite being unconstitutional–the campaign sent regular emails about how McCain has always upheld the law? It doesn’t take much study of McCain’s circle of friends to see that the motivation for the VP pick of Sarah Palin is opportunistic. It can be nothing other than a way to peddle McCain for the hesitant conservatives, and it’s been very successful. McCain, like most other candidates, is not his own boss; he has to have favor with the media and the people who own the media, and the media virtually determines whether a person remains in the White House or gets plagued by scandal (made up OR true). We can be very sure that McCain’s White House will be littered with scandal, even if Palin is not a part of it. The thought that McCain’s VP will be able to restore dignity to the White House is unrealistic.
I’m not trying to offend anyone or sound pessimistic, but I am looking behind the magnanimity McCain’s campaign has shown by the selection of Palin. If Palin really were able to interfere with McCain’s agenda–the amnesty for illegal immigrants and expansion of the federal government–she would never have been picked! Obama is without a moral compass, but we should be looking at what has been happening to the Republican Party. Few of us truly believes that McCain looks out for Americans, as shown by McCain-Kennedy. (Of course many explain away his treason by saying he was trying to solve the problem and come up with real solutions.) I don’t see it publicized that he opposed helping out veterans with a New GI Bill, which would have accomodated for recent inflation and helped veterans get back on their feet. We ought to be wondering why people in the media that we supposedly can trust are not exposing McCain like they are Obama. This whole election game is a stage show, and the polls have been intimidating people like never before. I pray for people to wake up to the madness of the system and take back our government.
