I’ve had two articles published in the last couple of days. My first article on Christian Web News titled “The California Gay Marriage Hoax” was published over the weekend.
Also, in case you didn’t find it today, my article “The Deep Faith of Barack Obama” is on the New Media Journal today.
Hi Dave- Both of these are excellent articles. I read the Gay Marriage Hoax first. All I could think of is that the main reason most liberal democrats refused to allow for a National Constitutional Ammendment for Marriage between 1 man and 1 woman, is because they KNEW that the unelected judges would legislate their version of morality from the bench. So many are in the pockets of the militant Gay groups, that they have no problem of leaving it up to (shirking their responibilities and therefore not having to answer to their constituants) the judges. This way they (our congress and senate) have a win/win situation for themselves. They keep the gays and their money, they can claim they have no control to their voters and keep their plush jobs in Washington. It really is a disgrace. I can not believe that so many people have been willing to sit back and allow this to go on for so long.
As for your Obama article- you are spot on as usual. I couldn’t help but think as I read it, and a couple of other articles on his so called faith- 1. Many of the elites in high places who, when asked about their beliefs- they talk so much about faith, and if pressed they usually lean towards the usual “christianized” talking points. They are so high on themselves, proud- that they are too intellectual. They have a problem of the basic Faith that you talked about- which is evidence of things not SEEN. They don’t want to appear too weak by actually believing in something that these days is about as unpolitically correct as you can possibly get, and a sure way to loose half your popularity. 2. When pressed on things they don’t agree with in the Bible- in this case, hell, people ALWAYS start by saying “Well, MY God wouldn’t….” This is a clear indication that they do NOT know the Holy, righteous God of the Bible, nor do they know the Jesus who will come back as a lion, in judgement. No, I imagine their god would not send people to hell, but they are following the wrong god. Whenever I try and show a person someone such as Obama’s religous inconsistancies, I am usually told not to judge because I don’t know their heart. While this is true- only God knows a man’s heart, the Lord gives us outward evidences by the fruits of the Spirit, and also enough of His Truth through Holy Scriptures. When people who claim to be christians deny the very teachings of ALL the Bible, things such as tolerance for immorality, disregard for human life, that Jesus is only one of many ways, their god wouldn’t… it is an indication that these people are not True followers of Jesus Christ. God shows us things so we will not be deceived. When someone says they think they are born again, yet not support something so basic as the National Born Alive Act, where babies are allowed to be given care after they survive an abortion, well, that does NOT jive with all of which Jesus teaches. If someone is going to follow Jesus, we all need to listen to ALL of His Truth. Not just the bits that sound good to us. God Bless you Dave- excellent again!
I think I’ll read the articles tomorrow rather than tonight, but I’ll give a comment about Obama right now. On June 6, I had a sudden intuitive feeling that Obama was more of a mirage than a candidate. We all know that the American people have essentially been deprived of a fair primary system and that the media uses dubious stats to intimidate us into voting for the “in” candidate. In previous elections, such as the one of George Bush vs. Bill Clinton in ’92, Bill Clinton looked so good and was given such favor by the media. I doubt a single scandal was reported at the time. Of course, I was too young at the time to pay attention, so I’m just reporting what I’ve read/heard. His mentor was Carroll Quigley, who believed in fascist principles. That was not making media headlines, because if the details of Quigley had, then voters would have shied away from Clinton, I’d guess.
So why is the media letting Obama be trashed over his relationship with Rev. Wright, by begrudgingly releasing Wright’s tapes and saving Hillary’s campaign? (Even now, Hillary has merely SUSPENDED her campaign, and she hinted about how Robert Kennedy was assassinated, and that she wasn’t going to quit. Perhaps she has been informed about a plot to assassinate her competitor, Sen. Obama?) Obama could have united the Democratic Party if the Wright, Rezko, and Ayers connections & scandals hadn’t made news. Could the media really trash a candidate who is the liberal choice? It is quite intricate what’s going on, but, to sum it up, the insight I had on June 6 was that Obama is more of a psychological weapon to scare the living daylights out of conservatives (leading to a willingness to choose even Hillary), than a candidate who will undoubtedly make it to the White House. Through scaring conservatives about Obama’s hate for America and sympathy for Hamas, the media can get them to compromise. That’s all for tonight 🙂 . Have a good evening!
The gay marriage article is a good exhortation that we should not let the courts become too powerful. I think the legislative branch is the weakest right now when it should be the strongest. Obviously the executive branch and judicial branch are getting away with a lot of unconstitutional stuff because of an idle legislative branch. Our legislative branch is supposed to be our greatest ally by protecting us from abuses by using the power of impeachment. What a good way to summarize the point of the article: “My concern is that we’ve spent so much attention and resources on judicial activism that we have ignored executive and legislative inactivity. I think we can do it all but we have to wake America from its slumber.”
The Obama article on NMJ takes an interesting twist by pretending that Obama is honest about not knowing about Ayers, Rezko, and Wright being such bad people. Dave, that’s great that you first focus on his moral relativism and then theorize about how good of a judge of character that would make him!

A silly and rather creative video to lighten it up!
Carolyn, isn’t that so common to have people say, “You don’t know my heart, so don’t judge me”? And yet their statements either reflect what they REALLY believe or are hogwash that the people just PRETEND to believe–either of which would not come out of a Biblically sound heart! So you DO know something about their hearts!
