Rene Guerra has written a nice recipe for a conservative resurgence in the Republican Party. You can read his article “How Conservatives Can Reclaim the GOP” at the New Media Journal.
Guerra states this in the article: To that effect, starting at the county level, conservatives must agglutinate together in 501(c) 3 associations to constitute an organized base of operations in each county of the nation. Those county conservative associations would have as their two main functions to work as (a) conservative-information clearinghouses and (b) conservative-activism hubs.
This is an excellent idea and is already being accomplished with the National Federation of Republican Assemblies (NFRA) at different levels of success across America. Additionally, TheVanguard.org (full disclosure: the sponsor of this blog) is mobilizing materiel, members, and monies to directly confront the Leftist movement that has already greatly infected all aspects of America.
Currently the national NFRA website is down now, but when it returns please check there to see if there is a chapter in your area and if not, start one!
Also, Newt Gingrich has some excellent ideas at his website and if you’ve not seen his speech at CPAC, I highly recommend it.
Folks, we have a lot of work ahead of us and if we put as much energy into the resurgence of conservatism as we put into whining about its demise, we will once again win the day.
I rest my case on United, Organized, focused and objective driven GROUPS being the answer.
Individual efforts “complement” the group efforts. Both Mr. Guerra and New Gingrich are saying the same things to ALL OF US CONSERVATIVES.
And that amigos, has been my precise message for several months here at “The Beach” (what a lousy marketing name the Vision 3000 group came up with by the way!) and this so-called bastion of Conservatism that is the NWF Florida area.
I have hope in us because I know we all agree on this. We just got to work a little harder “together” and stop harping and complaining about the “libs, the media, academia, et-al” while we let time slowly, but surely pass us by.
We have been given an excellent opportunity to “become something” in this area. Both through the support of influential people in our area but more importantly by the “state of affairs the Conservative Movement” finds itself in.
Take the challenge I say, the old “bull by the horns”. Let’s Roll – TOGETHER!
