Well we have less than 48 hours to pull out a miracle victory for Fred Thompson in South Carolina. My endorsement of Senator Thompson has got some legs on it and its being read all over the blogosphere, including in South Carolina.
Yesterday I was interviewed on a blog site from a student attending the Dallas Theological Seminary. Jeff Wright from the Conservative Reformed Mafia did a nice job and I appreciate him giving me the time to expound on my choosing Fred Thompson. The website may at first appear a little scary, but click on the picture from the movie Tombstone and it will explain itself.
Lastly, I put together a video endorsement for Fred Thompson and put it out on YouTube. My prayer is that it grows wings overnight and spreads all over the Palmetto State. Have a look!
Well Done Dave- I hope a lot of people see this, and many other commentaries on Fred, especially those who are so stuck on Mike. I like how you added the photo of the flag with a shining cross in it! Keep spreading the word Dave. You’re doing an excellent job! Carolyn
Fred says all the right things. There is no doubting his conservative credentials. Unfortunately, he does not have the charisma to win a presidential election. Today in America, charisma is even more important than principles. He will never draw the high number of independent voters that any Republican needs to win. Check out the numbers. Registered Dimmocrats greatly outnumber registered Republicans in this country. A Republican’s only chance lies in pulling in the votes of well over half of the independents who cast votes. His numbers thus far in the primaries are so low that it will be next to impossible for him to gain the momentum that he would need to get the nomination. He is not expected to end up in the top three in South Carolina. If the polls are correct (and they may not be), I wouldn’t be surprised if Fred drops out of the race.
Thanks again for the interview. I hope your readers enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing how SC works out today. On Hannity & Colmes last night, Rasmussen stated that over 40% of SC voters are still considering switching their vote. Another commentator mentioned that Thompson is now the #2 choice of voters. That tells me that Thompson is probably the preferred candidate of most voters but many are still being influenced by the horse race aspect of the race. McCain gets many nation defense voters, Romney gets economic conservatives, Huckabee social conservatives but Thompson is strong in all three areas. Its not too late to switch to Fred. Hopefully he makes a strong showing today to show that he is indeed electable and can win.
