Whoa, whoa, whoa!!!!
PRAY FOR THE ACLU?????????!!!!!!
They are the enemy Dave.
I know…but Jesus said:
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.”
It’s times like this being a Christian is tough; more than just inconvenient.
A dear brother in Christ Staley Langham, my Paul (mentor) and Barnabas (encourager), wrote to remind me:
I know you are ahead of me on this and that you know you need to admonish those who show up (at the courthouse) that we will be there to pray. We should show love to the ACLU as well as Frank (Lay-Pace Principal) and Robert (Freeman-Pace AD) and their supporters. If people bring placards they should show a Christlike love for the person or persons who allowed the ACLU to file this lawsuit. We don’t want them getting threatening calls. I plan to ask JESUS to strike the ACLU lawyers mute. In love of course. Staley
Many brothers and sisters in Christ are asking what we can do to help these two men facing jail time.
Pray for the strength of them and their families.
Pray for their lawyers that God would give them the wisdom needed to win this case.
Pray for the judge to see the unconstitutionality of this consent order.
Pray for the people who brought the charges to have a change of heart.
Pray that by our witness someone who needs Jesus will accept Him as Savior.
Pray for the lawyers representing the ACLU.
Pray for the ACLU.
