There is only one God. If this is not true, then the Bible is a lie. People may have their own gods, or be their own god, however it is a lie. Mormons do not worship the same God as I do; neither do Muslims. If they do, then the Bible must be declared a lie, and it was by those two belief systems because they wrote their own religious books. More importantly, they have violated God’s First Commandment. God declares of Himself:

“And God spoke all these words, saying: ‘I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.’” (Exodus 20:1-3)

I understand what I am writing is very unpopular and not politically correct, nevertheless it is biblically sound. We who follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior must proclaim the gospel truth, and when we do we can expect rejection and ridicule. Jesus experienced nothing less; why should we expect anything else?

Some may say that they reject what I believe and that is their prerogative. You can make the decision should you so choose. If so, understand that it is not just me you are rejecting; you are rejecting the Bible:

“That they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.” (Psalm 83:18)

I’ve recently done a two-part series podcast at www.truthwatchradio.com on the truth about Islam because so many Americans, in and out of government, are declaring things about Islam that simply are not true. Thankfully we have men of God like Franklin Graham, Al Moehler, and Russell Moore countering the lies from the mouth of our leaders in respect to Christianity and Islam. Islam is a false religion, plain and simple.

“Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; nor are there any works like Your works. All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, and shall glorify Your name. For You are great, and do wondrous things; You alone are God.” (Psalm 86:8-10)

This is a very important passage in the Bible. David has declared the truth, a truth that is contrary to what we hear today from those who would equate Christianity to the other belief systems in the world. Again, if what David has written is untrue, then the Bible must be declared a lie.

Some say they believe in the God of the Bible, but will not trust their lives to Jesus because He was not God. If that is true, then Jesus was not only not God, He was also a liar. Recall well His words at the Last Supper:

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” (John 17:20-21)

Jesus is God because He declared Himself so and so does the Bible. Once more for emphasis, if this is not true then the Bible must be declared a lie. There have been many unbelievers who have much such a declaration, but that does not make the Bible any less true. The Bible is true and trustworthy and it clearly declares Jesus as God:

“Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one. For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.” (1 Corinthians 8:4-6)

As Christians we have a responsibility to declare and stand upon the truth found in Scripture. Atheists, god-haters, and the homosexual lobby who are hell-bent on removing all Biblical truth from our culture are occupying the ground we have given up. If we will not stand for the truth, why should we expect judges and politicians to do so?

There is only one God; there is no other!
